    Default Fungia Plate Coral

Recently I acquired an orange fungia plate coral from Justin at AqSp. This coral has really proved to be a strong and vibrantly colored coral in my tank. The plate has survived the onslaught of a Teddy bear crab which has attempted twice now to make this plate coral a door to its lair. Last night I found that for the second time the crab had drug this coral across the tank and had it half buried against its cave opening. I will have to say that this coral, in my experience, has proven to be very hardy.
This morning its polyps are fully extended and feeding. This coral has accepted mysis shrimp and cyclopeeze and is still as vibrantly neon orange as the day I acquired it. Under the led moonlights it takes on a hue not unlike the neon orange found in black light posters.
A really cool coral for any collection. I will get some pics later today and post.
