    Since I cant remember when

    Default Sump/Refugium Design

    I am nearing the build phase for my sump/refugium. I could use some experience here with this. I would appreciate everyone's input please.
    The sump will be made out of a 30g long
    I need some ideas

    What are the dimensions of the 30G? Which skimmer have you decided on?

    I have pretty much decided on the Octo extreme 160.
    30g is 36x18

    How many chambers are you looking at here?

    mine is made after these limpits reef videos. it works well for me but some argue that you should have the skimmer in the first section.

    All my previous sumps were designed this way. With the skimmer in the middle section. I do think it would be best in the first section, if you have the room.

    Nice videos. Now I just have to apply that to the 10g sump that I am putting under my 10g sump
