    Default Ghurlag's Tanks

Finally, I have some up-to-date pics to post for everyone to marvel at:

My tank is a 29g with a 10g sump. I have a 70 W MH with 2 24" T5's for lighting until I upgrade the MH. Lots of softies and zoas (frags), and a pink montipora and neon green acropora SPS.

    Been waiting for this!

You mentioned having the T5's until you upgrade the MH? I would keep the T5's, for a fuller spectrum of light. Just ask my Frag tank! In the frag tank I have 1 single 400W 20K bulb. In my display I have 2X250W 14K, and 2X 54W Actinics, and 2X54W UVL 454 bulbs.

Somethings to great in both, and some things only do well int he display. I atribute this to the range of available spectrum. By great I mean growth and color.

Well, what I mean by until I upgrade is that I am running in disaster prevention until then. I plan on running some combination of MH/T5/LED in a custom canopy by sometime this summer. Obviously I just need to get the lighting here and rigged up, and I'll build it into the canopy once that project gets underway.
