new from lima ohio

well my name is matt and justin from AS told me about your site as well as eric he contact me from cincy reef not sure of his user name on here

newer to the hobby i have a 38 gal with 10 gal sump hob overflow 36" pc light 1 clown fish and a pencil eurchent and about 40lb of tonga rock

i am currently getting ready to upgrade to a 75 rr tank and will be building a sump
i am also prepairing for the 75 by building a fish closet that will be behind tank to have switch point and water supply and other good stiff
i will give more details on that tank when the time comes closer
all i know it i feel i have spent to much already but willing to spend more

i am 26 years old 1 child whos 3

i run a sign shop called lima signs and also work the fam biz that is a tire store and auto repair shop in lima called elida road tire service

Well i am getting ready to go from a 39 to a rr 75 tank
so i decicde it would be a good time to get an ro system and quit going to walmart
with five gallon buckets as used to hold the
i also want a place to store evey thing and have a nice amount of
saltwater and ro ready i want to water changes to be easy and less messy than siphioning
another goal is to have 2 deadicated circet breakers for the tank
i want to be able to switch indivigual componets off and on by switches
i still may go to a neptune controler but for now timers and switches lol
To start i want to pick a location for this room close to the tank it happens to work out
that the tank will be against the wall my stairs are so i have a catch all junk closet under
the steps.
so step one clean the junk out
the closet was used to hold the sweeper, old school books, pictures, stuff we need to hide fast
had a computer in there that was hooked up to the suround sound in the other room as a music server
. it will still house the cable distrubution panel and computer wireless router and modem
ok on with the pictures

removed carpet

i want to make the room easy clean up if i spill water so i am going to tile the floor
so i installed the concret board


i wanted to install a drain incase of a leak and a place for water to go during water changes

if you look at the marks on the floor and wall it where the ro water tank till be
i can fit 2 20 gallon barrels in her they stand 27 tall and 17 1/4" wide so the 2 barrels will fit in the 36" closet
its like i pland it or some thing also the drain comes out in the middel barrels and about 3" in front


hope to have more updates for you tomorrow did this while listening to a movie tonight since it snowed '
and i wasnt able to to dayton and cincy and upper ky

well day 2 starting slow just a lazy sunday
i started by setting a few peices of tile on the floor to see how much would need to be trimmed
and also made a few measurments

i then picked a spot for my switchs to control all the diffrent things i am thinking i may need some more switches already
well i marked the spot and cut the hole and test fit box







this is where im at @ 3:30 just feel lazy today ???

small refrence hole i stuck i wire in so i know to drill beside while under the house


lil guy wanted to help so he through the fitting down the drain hole

fitting is beside the round scrap
i fished it out with a wire didn't feel like going back under house

it gets tapped into the water lines past the main valve with its on shut off own
will prob do that tomorrow cause i have to go back under cause i found a line seeping a lil
under there that should be addressed

well i worked on plumbing today ia also found while under the house that my main water
feed was leaking so i guess we will see if my water bill will go down lol
