Hello all, My name is Brian, and I'm a reef-aholic. Wait, wrong organization.
At any rate, I was thrust into the hobby at the beginning of this year after spending several months researching and determining what I wanted to do. Another reefer was taking a break from the hobby due to lack of employment and was selling his 29 gallon setup, complete with 70W MH light, 10g sump, skimmer, live rock, a couple turbo snails and a yellow damsel for a rock bottom price. Even though I wasn't quite ready, I couldn't pass up the opportunity.
Fast forward one month and the tank has been stable since a week after I set it up at home. I purchased an RO/DI unit from Buckeye Field Supply, and set up a 10g for the yellow damsel, as well as placed the 29g on its own circuit. I have a few coral frags, added within the past week, and just added a few new swimming inhabitants today: a McCosker's Flasher Wrasse, a yellow watchman goby, and a candy pistol shrimp. Even with scarcely anything to look at, I am loving this tank
