Default Red Tree Sponge. How do I attach it?

So, I just bought a sponge, how do I attach it? Do I just glue it to a rock or what?

    Thanks,
    Jen

I have a spot at the bottom of the tank I might be able to set it. It's not attached to a rock or anything, so should I just wedge it between a couple of small rocks?

yes, thats the great thing about live rock, there always seems to be the perfect spot somewhere

glue may work but i would look for anything the sponge is attached to and try to glue that rather than the sponge. also if it is exposed to air out of the water the air becomes trapped in the matrix of channels that line the inside of the sponge body blocking the path for food to reach its sells starving it to death. so glue might not work.

Yeah I would either place it between some rocks or maybe rubber band it to a rock

Do you guys have any experience with this type of sponge? Impulse buying....I think I made a mistake with this one. I have been doing a little research on these things and am finding out that they are very, very difficult to care for. What do u guys think?

i have not had much luck with sponges but they were exposed to air so maybe that did it. if any debris builds up on it make sure to blast it off with a turkey baster. also i would put in a higher flow area. lighting depends if it is photosynthetic or not.
