Thought I would stop in and indroduce myselfMy name's Jennifer and I am from good ol Fairborn, OH. I'm a newbie to the reef tank setup (3 months in), so please bear with me, there are so many things I'm trying to learn about this hobby that I tend to confuse myself, lol. Anyways, Eric found me on RC and gave me the info about this site. Glad he did cause I was looking to meet people and make new friends here in the area that are into this very interesting hobby. So, I guess I can tell you a little about my tank, nothing elaborate and I seem to be finding out the bare minimum. So here's what I got goin on:
-65 gallon reef
-80 or so lbs of LR
-2-3" sandbed
-2x65w PCs for lighting
-canister filter (I know, I know they suck), but I have a spare 30 gallon that I'm working on turning into a refugium, so if you have any tips please let me know
-For fish I have an osc clown, purple & yellow pseudo, coral beauty and a scopas tang. Oh, and a few snails and crabs (not sure what kind, they came with the tank) and a red brittle star.
-For corals I plan on sticking with the hardier types, mostly softies until I can get better lights. Right now I have a few small frags of xenia, encrusting gorgonian, yellow polyps (not sure what they are called) and some type of orange zoas?
I think that's about it for now. Nice to meet everyone!
