    Default How often/what do you test for?

    Like the title says! What do you test for and how often?

    I test 2-3 times a week for Calcium, ALK, and PH. Thats it.

    As far as Phosphate and Nitrate go. I can see what the levels are in the tank without testing for it. I always get a zero for these tests anyways, as the algae consumes it before it can register on the test.

    Never, I can usually tell by looking at the corals what is going on.

    i test cal, and alk twice a week.......if something looks wrong i test phos nitrate ph mag

    I test after adding new additions to the tanks and after I've disturbed the tank during routine maintenance or if I notice a coral in distress. Usually just Ca, Alk, Mag.
