Devil's Hand Toadstool Leather

I see have a toadstool 'Devil's Hand' leather that has been really beautiful until recently and now it has shrunk, turned blueish green and has little spots on the fingers that seem to be releasing something.

Can anyone tell me whats going on with it? Do I need to take it out? Is it dying?

The Coral requires medium to high lighting combined with medium to strong water movement. For continued good health, it will also require the addition of iodine, strontium, and other trace elements to the water.

I've done the first iodine dose; not much of a noticeable change. Toadstool has straighten
up and expanded a little but color is still bluish green.

How old are your lights?

New; maybe 5 wks

Maybe the coral is just adjusting to the lights

I have found some info on them and it makes me think that its just growing and 'shedding' its outer layer. I was hopeing Cloran would chime in since she has one. Guess I'll see.

That could be I have not had soft corals for years and do not remember.

i know leathers can look like crap for a few weeks then just come around the next day

Toadstool is coming around. Opening real nice and color coming back to normal. It has grown two new fingers. Does not stay open very long but seems to be getting better.
