Default 48x24x24 reef safe "big" fish

Need a couple ideas for some bigger fish for a 48x24x24 tank. Preferably atleast 2 or 3 of them. Maybe even a harem of some sort?

hmm, did not even see this thread.
Anthias are always great, I love mine (Thanks Nick) and will get more when the new tank is up and running.

you might be able to get away with three anthias in there, no way would i put any tang other than a tomini tang in there, copperband butterflys are cool but they are hit or miss on being reefsafe and are real finicky eaters mostly because they ship poorly. what kind of gobies do you plan on having, unless they are like blue neon gobies i wouldnt put any more than two in there if that, they are supper territorial you might get lucky with two and hope they set up homes at the two opposite ends of the tank. If you want "bigger" reef safe fish I would look into some of the butterfly fish.

I had 2 clowns gobies in my 20g. Almost all the butterfly's I've seen aren't reef safe

For butterflyfish you need to see what they eat and do not have that coral and you will be fine.

clown gobies would be ok but when you get into shrimp gobies/sand sifting gobies more than one is not a real good idea.

with the butterflies it is hit or miss with them but if you read articles about them a lot of people have successfuly kept a number of butterflies in reef tanks.
