hardy eel, but an escape artist. A 50 gallon or larger aquarium with plenty of live rock and a tightly fit canopy is ideal.

You would want to hook it down somehow. They could get out of the tank with just a lid.

in a way yes because you dont want any dead spots. IMO and experince flow is key in any aquarium even fresh. no you dont need to simulate the wave action or anything like that but a couple powerheads placed in the correct position will do just fine. Again this is just my experience.
like eric said though these guys are great escape artist, when i had mine he jumped out but luckily i saw it happen and was able to scoop him up and put him back into the tank. a cover with some weights or latches are a must.
I have a canopy on it, so I'll figure something out. Not really going with corals probally just a couple pieces of LR.
