    Default reliable pumps

I was talking with a fellow hobbyist about pumps and how long they last so I went and looked up my orders for my Pumps.

I have owned my Tunze Streams since 2/17/2003
    one Tunze Wavebox since 11/26/2006
    second Tunze Wavebox since 6/25/2007

I am glad to see my pumps are lasting a long time.

My Iwaki pump was purchased in Jan 2000 I think, can not find the purchase order for it.
I did replace the impeller on it because snails broke it.

I have a Mag-Drive 18 that has ran for 15 solid years, on a saltwater tank. Haven't had to replace impellar yet..... I have not tried any of the Tunze pumps, but hear good things. Iwaki, is top notch, have one that is 12years old, just now needs the bearing replaced.

A good pump usually costs more but you get what you pay for.

Totally agree, now days the more exspensive pumps are more efficient as well. It might cost more up front, but DP&L won't like you as much!
