Last year I was at close to $400 a month in the summer, This month I was at $270 but that is down from $350 last year at this time.
This is one reason I went to LEDs, I was tired of the high electric bills.
You can always change some equipment out for something that uses less electric.

I can not say a tank your size would cause it to be this high, what all is in the garage? how much is the AC running?

Yeah I would say the equipment you have running your tank is pretty efficient over all. It's not like you have any halides or big external pumps. It may not be the amount of electricity you are consuming, but instead the way they raise thier prices. I also think it is a little hotter than usual for this time of year and people have been running the AC a lot here lately.

$350.00 ?? I would not be very happy writing that check... What isn't in his garage ... It's his "Castle". But I'm thinking that old fridge out there is taking a trip to the curb. Our AC runs a lot. This old house has 0 insulation.

My DP&L bill was 157.00 last month. I'm fairly certain it will skyrocket by July. You all know why...lol

Plus we have an old Pepsi machine. It probably uses a lot also. We are going to see if we can find a scratch and dent fridge fairly cheap. Geeeeez I hate to see what next month's bill is going to be ... $157.00 .... $170.00 .... It's been years since I seen our bill under $200.00
