Default Hi I am new to the Salt Geeks

Hello, I am Natasha and new to the Salt Geeks. I was just at Jack's Aquaruim and Carrie there told me about your site and that you will be able to help with a question I have. The following picture I will be uploading I need help in finding out what this is. It looks like a sac of eggs & then again it does not. Some people told me it could be sponge, but not sure. I have two in my tank. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi welcome to the group. It looks like a sponge if you are talking about the little tan thing in the image. Can you get a closer picture?

Also start a thread and tell us more about your tanks

Hello and welcome to the club! Would like a closer pic, but looks like a Q-Tip/Pineapple Sponge, it is safe and is a filter feeder. Typically show up if you have high silica/nitrates.

Thank you Carrie for referring me to this site. The pepermint shrimps you sold is at home and now I am just waiting for them to munch down on those Aiptasia. Just never understand at of 3 years of having my tank that I started getting them. Can they hitch hike on snails or hermit crabs?
