    "Need" probably not, but still want. You can always turn the flow rate down on them. There is just still some spots the one does not quite do it so I have a K4 going too. I really want a slave but not ready to break bread on that yet.

    Nah, it seems to love it. I have some reef diving videos and in one of them it shows a toadstool with almost identical flow in it. These vortechs are sweet.

    They lose flow quickly across the tank. So a slave would be perfect man, you could turn them down.
