    Default Vortech wave action

    This is the short pulse mode it is running on now. I need to mess with other modes later to see what I like best, but I am satisfied with this for now.

    Yes I am using the foam guard for extra protection. I got a pack of 3 spares and it came with one so I will keep the pump clean.

    How far from the top do you have your mounted?

    It is about 6-8" from the water level at the top.

    Nice wave action. I am willing to bet that will crank out more if that filter sponge was removed.

    Yes it is the new Eco Smart. It has a couple more modes and can run other "slave" pumps via wireless driver.

    I started w/o it, does not seem to slow flow down much, but I am sure it does a little.
