Yes I am using the foam guard for extra protection. I got a pack of 3 spares and it came with one so I will keep the pump clean.

Yes it is the new Eco Smart. It has a couple more modes and can run other "slave" pumps via wireless driver.Originally Posted by jjoos99

I started w/o it, does not seem to slow flow down much, but I am sure it does a little.
