Default heater blew a fuse :(

i am so disappointed. one of my heaters blew a fuse over night last week, and all of the coral has died. it is a mystery on how the fish didn't die from the shock but they are survivors. i have been trying everything for the coral, but nothing has worked. i have tryed feeding them, giving them calcium and strontium and molbdenum supplements but nothing has woked. i am sure they are dead because the polyps have not opened up for a while. my gorgonian has turned white and so did my brain coral. i am thinking of this as an opportunity to start over. i think it would be cool to have a snowflake eel in the tank. but then i outed that idea when i realized my hippo tang is only and inch and half long and could easily fit into the mouth of an eel. any ideas on something cool to do for my tank like a certain biotype or a species tank or just advice on a reef? many thanks

How long was the heater off? How low did it go? Size of the tank? They might not be dead just yet.

the heater was off for about a day and the temperature went all the way down to 72 degrees. the tank is a 50 gallon. also when i was at school the lights were off because the timers got messed up and i didn't fix it until i got home around 4:30 pm.
