    Default Hammer Time

Why is the one polyp extended so far on my Hammer ? Is it too much flow ? It's been like this for a few days now.

In my experience with LPS such as hammer torch and frogspawn The one extended polyp is a feeler for room to grow, Also when multiple polyps are extended its usually time for feeding I like to feed mine a small bit of krill, mysis, and cyclops from time to time it worked for me, I always fed mine around 9 at night because it was usually fully extended at this time. (feeding meaty food is not requierd but recomended and it also will boost its growth). I bought a frogspawn about 4 months ago and it had only 1 head. since then I now have a 5 head monster lol. Good luck with it. Note the things I have said are assuming that this specimin is not stressed or ill also your params are in good order. Always dip before putting something in your tank

Thanks. I've been feeding it Mysis. I have a Torch also. It was not doing so good, Justin told me to dip it and start feeding it. After that, I was amazed at the difference. He is so much bigger and healthy looking now. I try to feed the Mysis once a week.
    Thanks for the info.
