    Default Over my head

I am jumping into this hobby after a long hiatus. I had a 75g fish only tank about 15 years ago and did my best to kill most every fish I purchased. i have read a lot over the years and helped with friends tanks so i have learned a little since then but.......My parents are getting out of the hobby so I am inheriting a 180g reef and 40g Nano. Not sure of all the equipment but apparently it is up and running pretty flawlessly but.....man am i gonna need help. To start any suggestions with:
1 What is the best way to transport the tanks and their contents from Colorado without killing a crapload coral/fish?
2 The tank currently has its sump under the tank and I want to put mine in the basement and pump up to the first floor, 8' head, what size pump should I get? ps. closed loop.
3 Bought a 6 stage ro di. I believe everything else is coming with it but any thing else I should have to start besides a clue?
    4 Anything else?
5 Mom says i will need to get rid of coral when I set it up cuz its packed with coral. If anyone is willing to trade for main pump or other stuff let me know.

I'll get some pictures up soon.

I would bag the fish and coral and transport them in a cooler. I would put the rock in a cooler with a little water but not much is needed.

    The RO/DI unit sounds good.
We are a few hours from you but still maybe able to help.

24 hour drive + teardown and setup time. I'm figuring 36-40 hours total.

Are you driving straight thru? Deep Cycle batterys and some circulation would be helpful. I have seen Corals and fish that sat in a bag for 36 hours, not very good looking. I would ship the more sensitive stuff.

I have 3 deep cycles for heat and oxygen tanks for circulation. Unfortunately I will not have the option to ship as I won't have a set up tank to ship to. Thank you everyone for the input. Still need help with the main pump size? any recomendation on the needed gph for the sump?
