Hey all, it's been awhile since I've posted much. I've been lurking non-stop all along, but a lot of life has happened in our household. My reef is still stable, but not as nice a show piece as I would like. Money was tight this past winter, so I didn't get to do any real projects (not too mention our household dynamic made such projects practically impossible. At any rate, I've found I need a lot more time out of the house these days. A little over a month ago I was given the opportunity to attend a company-sponsored fly fishing trip. This is the second such trip I've been on in as many years, and prior I had the opportunity to go on a walleye fishing trip on Lake Erie.

Two weeks ago, Jessica and I had the opportunity to go out on a boat on Acton Lake (Hueston Woods), where we each caught the biggest catfish of our lives. So I now find myself with renewed obsession with fishing. The single greatest hindrance I've encountered my entire life with fishing is being stuck on land. I've yearned for the ability to go to where the fish are.

Well, finally today, that dream is coming true. Trenton, OH held it's city-wide garage sale this weekend, and I cleaned up with a kayak and some rod/reel combos. Now the whole family can hit the water, and I have a way, when I'm solo, to go where the fish are.

I'm really happy with the way my120g SPS tank is coming along. I have a handful of corals that are already turning into very nice specimens, and several others that I'm excited about. I am happy with my fish in that tank as well, but I'd like to add another:

teen orange shoulder
yellow tang
coral hogfish
teen emperor angelfish
paid of clowns (misbar oscellaris and a photon)
cleaner wrasse
two barred rabbitfish
diamond goby

I also have a couple peppermint shrimp, a couple cleaner shrimp, a fighting conch, I think a couple emerald crabs and peppermint shrimp - maybe, and a ton of crabs, snails, etc.

As you can see, I already have two "risky" fish in the angel and hogfish, but both are awesome fish. I'm considering a couple other gambles at this point. A pair of pipefish, a cowfish, a blue jaw trigger, or a valentini puffer. It seems any of these can be good or bad fish, some for different reasons than others.

What does everyone think?
