Some information about the Purple Firefish Goby from my views and some from the internet.
Scientific name: (Nemateleotris decora)
Minimum tank size: 10 Gallon tank is what is recommended online. I would say go 10 gallons for these unless you get a group of them, then you would need a larger tank.
Food: Mine eat any food that sinks. Pellets & frozen. I have not seen them come to the top for food.
Care/Compatibility: Easy. I have read that multiples will fight unless they are a mated pair. I have not seen or experienced this. I have two of these in a 55 gallon and they stay close to each other. Ocassionally the Red Firefish (Nemateleotris magnifica) will chase them. The Purple Firefish tend to stay closer to the bottom of the tank and hide in the rocks often.
Reef Safe: Completely reef safe.
Other: They are jumpers! Make sure you have a good fitting lid.
Picture: I will post pictures later.
