I finally got everything perfect, and I pulled all my gear inside before I seen this picture. Would have been the perfect 4-5 hour exposure :(
Anyone else into astrophotography? I need to order a Meade ETX --> EF/S mount adapter for the scope. With tracking I could do some cool stuff!
THis was shot @ F17, 12 minutes, Canon EOS XSI, 18-55IS @ 18MM.

The non moving star in the center is obviously Polaris. The others are small planes. I need a Fish eye, and some room in the country to make it right :D

Another shot I thought was cool. Can see all the stars you normally can't see in the city.

love the last one man. I would love to be able to afford to get a real nice scope, but the jank one I got works well enough for now. I love looking at the stars. I was fortunate enough to see the southern cross when I was in Peru, one of the coolest constellations I've seen, and orion's belt was 1000x brighter down there then it is here.

You suck! J/K. The Orion nebula is my favorite. If I ever get that camera adapter I can do a long exposure of the Nebula and really see some detail. But it looks great thru my ETX-90 either way.

About 100,000 of them. Calibrate that thing.

When I brighten up the monitor to see the stars in the ATI control panel it washes out the black to a gray. Adjusted Gamma, Brightness and Contrast. Maybe it is time for a new one. :)

The Black should be grey. It was yellowish, but I removed the color. The Yellow comes from the street lights on the horizon. The Noise is from the ISO 1600 I used @ 15 seconds on a 60F night. If it was cooler I wouldn't have as much noise. Or if I could find a program that distinguish sensor noise from the stars.
Sounds like you need a new display. On my Viewsonic you can clearly see the stars, and lots of them :D
