Bubble Algae?

I have one silver, shiny orb almost BB like on my live rock and was wondering if it was bubble algae and how to get rid of it.

It sounds like it to me. Emerald Crabs supposedly eat it but have never seen it with my own eyes. You can manually remove it, but be careful not to bust it!

Emerald Crab is the best if it is small.
Can you get a picture of it?

just get something under it to remove it w/o popping it. one of those kent scraper blades or a razor blade will work.

I've never had any luck with anything eating it. I have learned to tolerate it. I just remove it manually when it gets big enough.

You should see the bubble algae in Lazylivin's 55g. Larger than a golf ball
I just remove it manually. I have an emerald, but have not witnessed it eating the algea.

My emeralds don't touch it either. I pull them out when I can. I read that injecting them with lemon juice will kill the spores. Kinda works.

my emerald eats it as long as its not huge, I have kinda learned to deal with it I just dont like it on my rocks and the crab usually takes care of that pretty quickly. But def try not to pop them, s bad news written all over it.

It's pretty small so I'm hestitant to remove it. Is it easy to pop? I've never had to deal with it before. BTW my camera sucks so pictures don't turn out very good.

i pulled one out the other day and i had to put some pressure on it to pop it, but yours could be more fragile. its best if you can remove the rock its on.

my emerald crab took care of the bubble alge in my tank. why not try a crab first their cheep and easer than trying to scape it off.

back when i had emeralds they ate my BA. they do get big eventually tho and can plot on some other inhabitants.
