Alright tires are back on, and until they are broken in, I feel like midget. I was going to get her in the garage after the tires, but we got a ton of snow with more to come. Looks like it will have to wait awhile.
The iPhone says the tank is leaning 1.8 degrees right, and 1.1 degrees back. Not terrible, but not good either.

This one? No. This is a 2004 Yamaha R6. My last bike was a 2005 R6. The 05' I had, another story.
In March of 06' I left at 6am for Ft Meyers FL to see my dad. Its 30F @ 6AM in Ohio. I get to southern Ky, nothing but black skies to my south, oh crap I think. It poured rain all thru Tn. At the Ga border the roads dry up, and the sun is out. I run 120-140Mph all the way thru northern Ga. I get to Atlanta wearing leathers top to bottom, soaking wet, its 80F and sunny. The 25Lb backpack I took weighed 40Lbs now, and my leathers an extra 40 or so from the water they soaked up (water proof my ***). I fight my way thru 3 hours of Atl traffic on 75. Make it to Ft Meyers @ 4Am, 22 hours later (a 14 hour car ride).
The ride home? Same freaking thing. Get to northern Ga, rain, rain, and more rain. Stayed the night in Knoxville, wake up, wet, raining, and 40F all the way to Cincy. I get to Cincy, and instantly its 60F and sunny. Weird as hell. Made no sense.
My neck still hurts. I thought I was the big man, going to beat the car time on a fast bike. Sadly I missed the fact that, A: I get 120 miles to the tank, B: I need to rest every 60 miles or so after the first 400-500, C: My Neck and back can only take so much.
Next time, its a three day trip lol.

its an 04 suzuki intruder 1400. Seems like it would be a pretty good bike to take a small roadtrip on. Lol, don't know about goin all the way to FL on a crotch rocket though. Sounds painful!

hubby likes the yamaha crotch rockets though, thats what he originally wanted to get, but gotta too good to pass up deal on the suzuki. He would love to have a hyabusa with a turbo (not sure bout the spelling), but that sounds a little crazy to me!

The intruders are nice. I enjoy the cruisers. But I have so much fun on a fast bike I couldn't bring myself to get a cruiser. Life is short!
***y new tires, rear should be good for another 3K Miles, front for 5K or so. Depends on how nice I am to them hehe.

Yeah, This model R6 does 0-60 in under 3 seconds, with a 1/4 mile in the 10 second range. Top speed in first is 69MPH, second is 96MPH, after that, I don't look at the speedometer :D

I will be at Indy for the MotoGP race this year.
The GPS was a joke for Cassie. I told its fun to go out and get lost somewhere, she seemed a bit concerned, so I grabbed it out of the van for a laugh.

The hubby has a '98 Kawasaki Ninja 250. I think it's pretty awesome. I took motorcycle lessons last fall. The third day, I got nervous about the speed & balance. I tried to stop the bike. Remember on a mountain bike the part by the handle is the brake. Well, not on a motorcycle. That's the throttle! So, I dropped the bike. Not fun. It hurt and cut up my pants. The instructor had to help get the bike off me. I passed the course and I have the special symbol on my license. I don't drive, but I ride on the back of my husband's bike.

Thats part of the learning experience! I have had several small spills and broke fingers. But when you start spinning the rear mid corner, close the throttle to stop it and high side at 85Mph and wake up in a corn field you start to think lol. Took alot to get back on after that.

WOW! I was going maybe 15 mph, lol. I'm sure I'll try again some day. Oh and my husband wanted me to correct my last post, it's a 2004 not '98.

Is that the new body style?
As far as speed, I am guessing. That was my normal speed thru that corning on Polecat road, I don't remember what happened. Its a big blank.
