Hey everyone, thought I would share some pics of my 65g tank. Had a hard time picking and choosing, so I had to load all of them. Everything is pretty small, so my tank looks a little bare at the moment. Can't wait till everything fills out! I'm hopin you guys can help me ID a few things? The green thing, is that some type of star polyp? The orange zoas, is there a name for these guys? Any suggestions on some cool corals that I can add? Let me know whatcha guys think, enjoy the pics!

Lol, couldn't figure out how to load my pics on here so here's the link:

yea they do look like that, but more orange. i'll have to get a better pic of the green thing. that was the first coral i bought for my tank and was told they were gsp when I bought em. it doesn't have a mat, just a polyp.

Thanks for the compliments guys! What do you think about rics on that bottom shelf? Seen some pics of jeremyreef's rics and I really like how those look and I thought something like that would look nice since its partly shady in that area.

may work, but you might want them a little higher with power compacts. they will let you know if the rics color starts to fade.

Nice set up! Spoke briefly with you at the meeting yesterday. If you wanted some various colored mushrooms for your tank just let me know and I will bring them to the next club meeting. I also have a small frag of Blue Ridge Coral you are welcome to. Not very big. I got it from Marinelife. It is considered a soft coral but constucts its skeleton from calcium and iron salts which give the coral its unique blue colored skeleton.

Thanks for the compliments guys! No, I didn't get the tang from Justin, the tang and the clown came with the tank. He's a pretty cool fish. I heard tangs can be pretty aggressive, but he gets along great with everyone :)

It was a joke from me, I think it was a typo with the tang name.

the green one is most likely a manjona anemone (Killed the spelling) it just looks a little elongated.

They do look kinda like GSP. My wifes tank has a few. As long as they don't start breeding like crazy they can stay. But sadly, I know they will.

And to Rich @ the ranch, I will be down sometime. Finding time to do anything on the weekends is impossible. I can only imagine the time you spend in that place!

jsharp1

yea rich gave me a frag of real gsp (lol, i think he felt bad for me:)) which has already spread out a pretty good amount. U def gotta check out Coral Ranch, some good stuff goin on there.
