Tank with one Coral

I have been thinking about this for a while and wondered, has anyone thought of doing a tank with just a few different corals in it instead of the large variety that we usually see.

Maybe just get a nice frag or coral and just put small frags from it all over the tank to grow in. I figure in my tank 4-5 corals would work. I have about that many right now that are doing great. I wonder if having less corals in a tank would look good and be better over all.

What are your thoughts?

I have always loved the really simple setups. Small Bio-Cubes, that are simple. A single coral would be cool. But what coral would you choose? A Tabling Acro would be neat.

I need a biocube now lol.

Well I have a Fire Coral, Encrusting Monti, Two Blue Ridge Corals, Pocillopora Verrucosa, Pocillopora spp in two colors and my SG Cactus.
I have a few other really slow growers that would stay. Maybe one Acropora.

Well that does not seem like one coral but I think if only those filled in I would have large areas of them.

I think that is a neat idea. Less chemical warefare could produce a larger healthier coral.

I have a 30g with 1>bubble coral; 2 sm shrooms and a 2" xenia. And a JBJ cp light that will work for sps.
How does it look? Well, I think it looks bare; Especially next to the 180g StarPhire tank .

But what about when that xenia covers the tank?

I may work on a section og my tank to be like this and have only one or two corals in the area.

Thats what you think! I got a piece for free when I first started up the 120. Now I can't get rid of it. I had it down to one small piece on the far right of the tank, it looked good in that spot. I have small pieces of it popping up everywhere now. I can't kill it. I have injected it with lemon juice, smothered them in kalk paste. They shrivel up and come back in a few days.
