Who runs carbon, and if so how often do you run it and why?
I want to here your opinion or thoughts about it.

I have a BRSreactor that I am thinking of running carbon in. I was told that it is bad to do so in a reef, but that didn't make sense to me. I would figure the use of carbon in a mixed reef would have alot more benifits that cons.

I have not ran carbon for a while but usually changed it every month. I never had an issue with it hurting the corals.

I run carbon 24/7 in my systems and change it every 2 weeks. I use TLF reactors. I have never had a problem using carbon. It will depend on how large your bioload is and how much you use as to how often you will need to change it. Carbon helps to remove disolved organic compounds from the water column.

I run a dual reactor with carbon, changed bi weekly. Cass likes the leathers, and I am a SPS guy. We are all plumbed into one, so I figured it was a good idea.
