Anybody keep saddleback with anenome's, which one. We've yet to get our pair to host in anything. All they do is hide all the time except when its feeding time.

Right, I have that. Tried 3 different anemone's, and no luck.

Sometimes it takes months for them to go and host. It is not always right away.

I always lose the anemone before then.

They are hard to keep so you may have to not have one.

Are they tank raised ? I get all my colwns form ora with alittle extra time during the acclimation process and a specimen container you can really better your chances of the hosting.

I have tank raised clowns host pink tip condy's all the time. I have a pair of saddlebacks right now that move between a bubble and a long tent.

If your interested in my method give me a call 898-3585 i would be more than happy to explain it to you.

Good luck,

i have one i had since i started this hobby over 6 yrs ago. he is now blind in both eyes from running them into the rocks or something but anyway back on topic. our sad back would host anything including frogspawn brains long polyps anything. it took him prob a yr before he started this but now he will host anything in one spot of the tank. what ever you put in his fav spot he will host now. even a plate coral. good luck.

you will just have to give them time or get different clowns. true percs skunks and clarkis are pretty easy to get to host. like the one dude said if you introduce them in a smaller container with an anenome it is more likely to get them to host it faster.

I'd like to get new ones, but my wife bought them. All they do is hide all the time!
