Hello. I'm a new guy from the Dayton/Xenia area and I just discovered this site. I wanted to say hello to everyone here. I am a nano and pico reef enthusiast and I currently have a 7.5g rimless build going which is housing various corals and a pair of ***y shrimp and one big female harlequin shrimp. I will try to begin some pics later tonight. Thanks.

I remember my harlequin used to dig up the sand sifter stars and devour them.

I am gonna go out on a limb and say that is not Echinopora. The coralites look to be fused or cerioid. Can you get a better pic without the red leds on? I am thinking some type of favites or war coral. I have also seen acan echinata that are similar in appearance. The growth form--plating--would suggest echinopora lamellosa but the coralites are fused. I am, therefore, leaning towards Astreopora as the mystery coral. A pic of its natural colors would be beneificial in identifying this one. It is a nice specimen!!

Hmm. I'll try to post another pic but it's basically an orange color and the polyps are pink/red and fluorescing. I have not seen many echinopora w/ these colors..usually they are blues/purples, etc. It is very thin like a potato chip and encrusting, no real tentacles to see, atleast not big ones.
