Pod explosion?

I pulled out my flashlight to check out the tank at night and saw hundreds of these small critters swiming around. They followed the light everywhere. This is the first time I've seen them in the aquarium. I'm assuming they are some type of pods? Look like small tadpoles. Check out the video.

I think they look similar to what I noticed in my tank last week. So far I'm assuming that if they aren't hurting anything, they must be beneficial :)
