i have a 75g tank that i have raised african cichlids in for the last 10 plus years . i had an african frontosa that was about 13 years old that died last week so i will either sell back the rest of the fish or put them in a smaller tank. my question i have for everybody is , i would like to use some of the lacerock i have in there, but what do i need to do to make sure the algae on the rock is cleaned off properly so as not to bring anything that could be dangerous to the salt setup. it is going to be a mainly fish only tank with some liverock

Power washer works great! then just soak the rock for a few weeks in saltwater. After that you should be good to go.

a good soak in vinegar/water for a day will take care of everything and make them pretty clean. then rinse them and then you could soak in saltwater also if needed
