Looks nice Mouse. I wanted to do that with my freshwater, but I have a Pleco. He ate all my plants. I love the look of them. Good job.

I'm using one 10,000k daylight bulb. I tried two, and they were wilting.

2 and they were wilting? Wow, that's impressive. So you are using an 18" T5 bulb on there, then?

I really like what I see here. I've been craving setting up a huge freshwater planted tank with T5s. Probably won't be allowed to until we move into a bigger house, but it's nice to dream :)

It's a 24" fixture and the bulbs are 21". The wisteria loved the light, but the small purplish plants on the bottom were wilting. I was trying to sell this tank earlier this year. It was a failed galaxea tank (smaller tanks are too difficult for me). No one would buy it, so I cleaned it out and made it a planted freshwater. I use my Jack's "Fish of the Month" card to pick out a free pristella tetra every month. Now that there are four in there, they're schooling.

Awesome Action Plan, and awesome execution!

Thanks :) It's pretty useless for saltwater fish. $2.99 off any fish doesn't help a whole lot in that case.

Hey, most of us cut our teeth on freshwater. Sometimes it's nice to visit home once in awhile :)
