Big Corals and what to do when they get big

I have a Blue Ridge Coral that is just taking over. It is about 12"+ tall, 10"+ wide, 6"+ front to back/
It has grown into the rock. So what would you do? Just leave it?

In the pictures you can see it over growing the other corals. The one Acro is working on taking some of its space.

Well, that is a tough question to answer. I think I would cut it back away from other corals. It really is quite a stunning show peice. Personally, I would keep it, frag it and sell the frags here and there.

leave the blue ridge and move the acro as chrome said its unique see how far it will go you got lots of tank .

I agree ... I myself am trying to get to the point where if I have a few extra things, I will simply GIVE them away (always accepting a frag in return if possible :) )

I think If we all get to this point we can share our good fortune and help decrease the demand placed upon the natural occurring reefs

I should add if you want a frag, let me know next time you are over, I have no issue fragging this baby.

How long did it take for it to get that big. The frag we got from you is getting more thick than it is long. I am looking to find a more prem. spot it is sitting to where if it got bid enough would cover the entrance to our fishes sleeping spot. Do not want it to grow on to the rock and have to brake it off. Thinking about puttin it on a rock by itself so it doesnt over power my other coral.

I would suggest its own rock.
It is a fast grower, you should notice new growth monthly if not weekly
