hey, been away from the site for a while, been busier than the proverbial one-legged man. i have a question about my green bubbletip anemone. i went on vacation back in june for a few weeks, and when i left, my bubbletip was huge, dark green, and really didn't look like a bubbletip (meaning it had longer tenticles). when i got back, it had changed colors, almost a clear to chartruese green, and was a lot smaller, and had the classic bubble tips. any ideas what changed this thing? lack of proper feeding? i had someone tending the tank, but they didn't personally feed the anemone. i lost a few small sps frags, my tubipora took a hit, and my xenia looks pathetic. do i need new bulbs? since i've been back and personally over-seeing the feedings, the xenia looks a tad better, and my anemome about devoured my hand feeding it last nite. am i on the right track or is something else needed? i haven't tested the water yet, so i have no idea the parameters, i was looking for upfront advice first.

Your BTA sounds like it's bleaching due to Some stress. Test your water and see if anything obvious is going on. Temp swings can be a problem for some people in the summer. If tests show nothing and everything is lookin kinda blah then I would do a waterchange and keep a close eye on it.
