A new variant of the Bandit Angelfish, Apolemichthys arcuatus taxidermicus is so rare, because there is only one known specimen. In reality its so rare because there are only a few people in the world obsessed enough with our marine finned friends to pull this off. Yes, I’m pointing squarely at you Coppolino and Kohen.

Apolemichthys thys arcuatus taxidermicus – the spawn of obsessed fish keepers
A new variant of the Bandit Angelfish, Apolemichthys arcuatus taxidermicus is as rare as they come–there is only one known specimen. In reality it’ so rare because there are only a few people in the world obsessed enough with our marine finned friends to pull this off. Yes, I’m pointing squarely at you Coppolino and Kohen.
This is not my story to tell, but this photo is too funny not to share. Long story short: fish dies and gets preserved by a taxidermist! Now the immortal (Holacanthus) Apolemichthys arcuatus taxidermicus will live in perpetual fame.
This preserved juvenile Bandit angel is rightfully owned by John Coppolino. You’ll have to get the full scoop on this bizarre story in Orlando when John gives his Angelfish talk at MACNA.
