Hi everyone. My name is Todd, I live in Centerville, OH and have a 75 gallon tank.
Current inhabitants are:
1 Yellow Tang (I know, most people think they need a 100 gallon or larger - my wife bought it.)
1 Flame Angel
1 green chromis
2 false percs
1 lawnmower blenny
1 brown barred goby (man, he sifts sand NON STOP.)
1 coral banded shrimp (molts about 1 time every 2 weeks.)
1 red cleaner shrimp - the flame loves getting cleaned all the time.
1 brittle star fish
1 6 line wrasse
6 nassarius snails (do they reproduce in the tank? I swear I counted 8 the other day!)
1 blue legged hermit
1 reddish/orange gorgonian, doing great - polyps come out a lot - about 10 to 14 inches tall in HIGH flow.
1 green colony of the "generic looking" green Zoas
1 finger leather that has tripled in size in about 3 weeks.
Nova fixture for lighting - 4-54 T5HO bulbs.
2 koralia 3's.
Titanium grouding probe (mainly because of the koralias. will upgrade soon as I have enough money.)
About 80 - 100 lbs of live rock
80 lbs of live sand
tank was running about 2.5 - 3 weeks before any fish went in - I know that seems quick, but with the great live rock and sand I got from Drs Foster and Smith, the cycle was quick.
I currently have an Octopus BH300F hang on skimmer and a Fluval 405. I'm building a sump, already have my overflow box from Lifereef and a 29 gallon long. Just need to build the baffles. Can't wait to get rid of the Fluval. I'll keep it for running carbon when needed however.
Want to upgrade the skimmer, too - but it pulls ALL kinds of gunk out, so it seems to be working well for now. Will move to sump when it is finished.
Anyway, I'm new to all of this, so I hope to learn a lot here.
