My bubble counter on my CA Reactor went bad so I need to make one since I did not want to wait until Monday or later to get one ordered

I search online and found on made from a syringe and check valve. So I went to Walmart and got the Syringe, $1.79 as a kit for babies. Went to Aquatic Specialists and got the Check Valve ($2.99).

We glued it in with silicone and off I went to let it cure.
Now it is installed and working great.

They claim the silicone will only last about 3 months but the silicone on my last one has last many years. I will just watch it to be sure.

I am going to make another some time were I will show more details with pictures. Here is the final product.

I had to switch out to a smaller Syringe I found, the Silicone did not hold long. The output tube is a little small so I may have to come up with something else to hold that tube. Otherwise it is working great!

Why not use cyanoacrylate (superglue) instead of silicone?

to much space between it, I have it fixed now with a smaller syringe
