Advanced Reef Chemistry.

To start, I have been dosing Carbon. I have noticed that a lot of my corals are getting pale, the Stylos/Birdsnest/Damicornus are all bleaching pretty bad.

Nitrates/Phosphates are ZERO. All my Hair/Bryopsis algae is dead and falling off, my chaeto, and the other uber fast grower have slowed down their growth alot.

My lighting cycle is the same, ALK is 12, PH is 8.3 now.

I have been doing ALOT of research lately. Seems Amino acids may be lacking. Anyone have experience with this? I have seen many a tank crash because of people running everything on that very fine line, a very fine balance. Before I go and start dosing more crap, none of which I am patient enough, or thoughtful enough to remember to do on a regular basis, I want to get more input. Plus, do I really want to add another nitrogen compound considering this is what I am trying to get rid of?

I used Amino Acids for a while but never saw a difference. I think I still have some someplace.
It maybe worth a try if you are having issues.

Because when I get into something, I really get into it, and I won't be satisfied until I understand every aspect of it. :D And my corals are bleaching! Grrr.
