Instant Ocean 160 gallon mix $41.99, was $29.99 a few months ago

Way up from the last time I purchased.

I wonder why the bump? Is it because gas prices went down? About 2 weeks ago it was still cheap, because i almost got a bucket. You should talk to a supply house and she if we can do a group buy for any cheaper.

I have 8 buckets right now but when the time comes I will chat with Dodd from North Dixie Reef about it, I do like delivery becuase I buy so many but man that is getting up there.

I know my supplier runs both io & rc on sale every couple of months. I will be more than happy to keep an eye out of it. Then run a power buy for salt geek members.

I get salt every 6 months and usually buy 10 buckets at a time so I am always looking for deals.

Here is the issue I see, I order 10 buckets from DRS. and pay $17.99 for shipping, now with the above link I order 10 buckets and the shipping is $90

I was just saying the price. You need to talk to the maker and see if you can buy it by the skid.

Right now DF&S is running a special on salt, I just ordered 8 buckets of RS Coral Pro and got it for about $40 a bucket, plus cincyreef is doing a powerbuy from them this month, so another 10 or 15% off.

Also Marine Solutions has some good deals on salt.

I think I am going to start mixing RS Coral Pro with Reef Crystels and see how it does, they price is not much different and I liked the salt when I tested it from the free samples I had.

I've not tried the reef crystals. Are they better than rs coral pro? whats the diff.?

Coral Pro is a better salt, but cost a little more. In short, the more you pay, the more trace elements you get. I started out using Reef crystals, and it worked for a while, but switched to Kent then Coral Pro, and am much happier. The price went up each time as well.
