Thought that I would try out your site. I have seen several other names from one of the other site, that seems to be self destructing, on here which is refreshing.
I seem to be an old man with this hobby compared to most. I am 47 and have been at it off and on since about 1989 with my first very first reef tank (120gallon beast for those days). I started to get back into this seriously about 3 years ago and havent looked back since. I have become addicted to sps corals now almost exclusively. I have close to over 30 pieces that are really starting to grow out nicely lately.
I have gotten tired of other sites where you post pics or text and if you arent part of the click no one will reply to you so I wanted to find a site where we all support each other even if you arent in the in crowd or an active member. I believe I was a registered user with the old site here.
I will get together some pics of my system and coral to post later when I get the time.

Hello Jeff!!! You are not the only old timer here..age wise that is...I am 47 also and have a 30g nano packed full of sps and lps. I am gettin ready to set up a 150. Be great to hear from you...your experience with the hobby. I am here because everyone seems to be genuinly interested in the hobby and not the cliques and bickering. We have a good solid membership of people that want to discuss Reefing. Good to see you here. Hope to see you on the forums and look forward to the pics.

I dont think that 47 years is old but from what I have noticed with other clubs it seems as if the average age would seem to be in the 20's-30's. I really enjoy diy projects so hopefully I will be able to bring something to this forum.

yeah, a late welcome, i haven't been on here in a while, spring has sprung and all my time is doing yard work and getting ball practices in. you will find this site a breath of fresh air, no politics, no need for a president, just honest people with honest answers/questions.

one word of warning, watch justin, he has a way of luring you into his store with some awesome deals. :)

yes, I saw his posted listing and the powder blue or brown is calling my name. I had trouble with my last blue I got but I would really like another tang, My purple tang needs a algae eating mate.
