The Klein's has to go :(
He started ripping into my favia last night.

I chased that sucka around the tank for almost an hour. Tore up my rockwork...you know the drill.
Fish is still in there, thumbing his nose at me. The coral is in the sump til I figure something out.

Anyone got a good trick up their sleeve for catching this fish?

So I got a nice Candy Cane colony in trade for my JBJ lights and doncha know, this butterfly tore into them within 5 minutes. So CandyCane is living under a plastic box for now and Justin has loaned out his fish trap. I'm seeing that the Klein's really just likes LPS. She leaves softies and stonies alone completely. And Zoas.

As long as it has a suction cup at the end, it would be a great idea!

May be a strange question, but what size net are you using? When I switched tanks, my domino damsel made me crazy chasing him with a smaller net. Got a larger one and used both and it was fairly easy after that. I think I drained some water out too but its been awhile. If you bought him to control aiptasia, you may want to think about things. I had a racoon butterfly that kept mine in control, but would never convert to frozen. As soon as I got rid of him, they slowly crept back out. I bought a kleins and it keeps them in check as well as eats frozen. Good luck!

Hey Jeblin,

I tried 2 sizes, large and small. The large net only managed to snag every piece of coral and LR in my tank and cause several collapses and involuntary "frags" of my monti and birdsnest. The small was a waste of time, even using 2 of them.

As far as the feeding goes, I was hoping that would be the case with my Klein's, because I feed my tank pretty well. But this fish was relentless. 5 minutes after eating, she'd be back picking at the coral again. Only LPS.

Anyway, she's caught! She is QT in the sump and I have a buyer for her. So hopefully she'll soon be in her new aiptasia-infested tank and happy ever after :-)

Hey, Steph, can I get one of those accidental birds nest frags? ;)

Well, the only thing is I superglued them to a big rock right away. However, the rest of the piece I got from Nikki is growing so fast that I might be able to get you a small piece by the frag swap in June. If I break off anymore of it, accidently (could happen) I'll put it on a plug for ya and let you know.

Cool, I been thinkin' I should get some birds nest. I need to become a little more methodical with the remainder of my aquascaping, since I'm getting low on room now :D

Oops...thought I replied but I guess I hit the wrong button.

I love this stuff, because it grows so fast. It's branching out all over and growing more each day, you can almost watch it grow. Very gratifying to have a stony doing so well in my tank! AND it's turning pink, yay!!
